Estimating & detailing of individual trade subcontractor scope of works for Tier 1 to Tier 3 highrise towers, apartments, hotels, townhouses, office fitout, education facilities, hospitals, aged care, big box retail, supermarkets, sporting facilities & mixed-use developments.

Estimator at Various Head-Contractors, Sub-Contractors & Building Materials Manufacturers.

​​Responsibilities include but not limited to interpretation of project tender documentation, digital markup of scope of works on tender documents, compiling material takeoffs & budget cost plans, producing conforming tender proposals for submission, undertaking site inspections, raising variations & supporting site staff.

What is the engagement process?
 

* Client provides PDF format tender documentation.

* Minimum charge/booking fee invoice is sent to client.

* Upon payment, project measurement takeoff is commenced.

* Takeoff is completed using Bluebeam estimating software.

What rates do you charge?

Rates are based on the current construction industry award adjusted pro rata to reflect the job by job casual nature of the services offered.


Estimating services

Industry market rates vary between trade sub-contractors & head-contractors due to several factors such as technical vs simple trades, tender tier classification, project type & complexity etc. Please use the contact page to request a specifically tailored estimating services proposal for your consideration.

Consulting services

Please use the contact page to request a fixed price lump sum remediation consulting service proposal for your consideration. Please provide a dropbox, googledrive or onedrive download link to your fire engineering report / & or fire safety feasibility report analysis including all available working drawings & schedules issued during the initial construction works phase along with any other relevant information.

What are your lead times?

 

Typical lead times of 5-10 business days +/- apply. However, factors such as; current workload, project size, project complexity, the current level of the project’s design etc. may influence preliminary lead times provided.

I have an urgent deadline. Can you help?

Yes, priority workflow scheduling will always be allocated to urgent projects for immediate completion however, factors such as; existing workload deadline commitments, your urgent deadline time frame, project size & project complexity may dictate that the estimate is required to be scheduled for completion outside of usual business hours & worked on into the night, in this instance applicable fees attract out of hours rates.

I am a trade sub-contractor, can you provide head-contractor correspondence on our behalf for project expressions of interest, request for new tender documentation, request for information, clarifications & tender submissions?

No, it is the client’s responsibility to liaise directly with their head-contractor regarding all projects, EOI, RFI, submissions etc. & to ensure a complete tender document package has been issued prior to sending for estimating in order to facilitate an entirely uninterrupted estimating sequence. The client will be notified if jobs are found to be missing documentation or crucial information which require clarification, these jobs will be placed on hold until such time that all required documentation/information is provided by the client.

Do you offer in person on-site services?  

No, all services offered are strictly provided 100% remotely based out of my head office in Melbourne.

Do you outsource any of your work or disclose our business activities to external entities?

No, all project work is undertaken in-house. Under no circumstances are trade estimating or remediation consulting works outsourced for completion by others. All estimating & consulting engagements from start to finish are strictly treated commercial in confidence.
